We stayed in the beautiful hut in Chinnar wildlife sanctuary

Beautiful waterfalls near chinnar .Thoovanam waterfalls is a place located at marayoor Kerala, which is near Munnar. This is a usual tourist place but there reason for me to mention about it. The trek is for almost 3 kms and we started our trek with forest guards. Once we started within few mtrs we were shocked and surprised as we spotted couple of Elephants in the wild, we had to halt for some time and understand the behavior of Elephant. We didn’t panic or make any noise as advised by the guards, slowly we chose a different route to reach the waterfalls, we felt not to disturb the Elephants. During our entire trek we came across lot of Elephant dungs which proved the there was lot of Elephants in and around the place. This made our trek more thrilling and exciting as we always wanted to see animals in the wild.
It took almost an hour to reach the waterfalls, when we noticed the view of the falls we were speechless and wondering why this place was not very famous among tourists. It looked like small version of Athirapalli falls. As soon as we reached the falls we started to take bath in the falls and had some food which we carried along with us.

On the way to the Waterfalls we are encountered by the group of elephants..

things made us feel bad about the situation
